Architectural Window Systems
When one considers the number of high performance aluminium window systems currently available on the market today, it is important to note that the development of the early non thermal aluminium window systems was based on steel window systems such as the Crittall Corporate W20 range. The introduction of this range of sections to home and international markets led to the science of pressure chamber weather performance testing and it provides the basis for the standards being used to this day.
The GLF Team has built up vast knowledge and expertise in this field, much of which is attributable to our Chairman, Eugene Gunn. Eugene commenced in the steel window industry in the early 1960s with Smith & Pearson, who were for many years to the forefront of the steel windows, window walls and curtain walls product market. GLF has worked on many high profile and landmark projects involving Architectural Window Systems such as the prestigious Dublin Civic Offices on Wood Quay.
Modern window systems from the leading systems suppliers offer a vast improvement to the early steel and non-thermal aluminium profiles. GLF provide a wide range of these products, offering high performance at a competitive cost.
