System details: The clients requirement was to have as much natural daylight and transparency as possible. This was achieved by designing a sheer glass wall comprising of a series of large insulated glass units of an approx size of 1.8 metres wide x 3.0 metres high. The outer pane of glass is in excess of 3/4" in thickness to withstand the design wind load.

On close inspection, the only framing visable is at the head and the cills of the glass wall, where we used a series of 316 stainless steel channels and anodised aluminium extrusions to secure the glazing.

The vertical glass to glass joints, are sealed with a special silicone designed & manufactured by Dow Corning.
